Los Angeles artist Kevin Appel’s architecturally-inspired acrylics have a flat, two-dimensional feel. Represented by the appropriately-named Angles Gallery in Santa Monica, his pieces have the air of architect gone mad, fusing the boundaries between collage, painting, architecture and nature. Just lovely.
