Driving along the freeway yesterday, changing CDs via the 6-stacker, I was reminded of a time when the entire back seat of my 1983 Pulsar was strewn with hundreds of cassette tapes. Today, thanks to the arrival of lasers and plastic discs, those cassettes have been cleared from the back seats of hatchbacks around the world, banished to the back of people’s memories forever more.
That is until Honorable Mention came along with their recycled cassette tape belt buckles. Unfortunately the Flashdance version is sold out, but if you like to live on the edge, you can have a randomly-selected cassette converted into a stylish and suitably retro belt buckle. Eco-friendly and 80s-cool.
